DARPA gave a ton of money to robotics companies to develop robots for combat AND search & rescue. Boston Dynamics has been the most successful, but their robots are only dancing and working in factories. Why aren't robots helping with hurricane recovery?
Drones are used to deliver packages from Amazon. Why are they not being used to deliver food, medication, and other supplies to areas cut off by damage and flooding?
The US Air Force is testing a remote-piloted craft that can carry one or two people into/out of dangerous situations. This could be used to rescue storm victims. Why isn't it?
