I spend part of my day trying to learn something new. I am a boomer and don't want to have missed learning something new.

Private Healthcare industries still make a profit those figures are readily available. Then again employment in this country does not cover your health care. If you want private cover you have do it. My Doctor bulk bills which means I don't have a co-pay,a number of GP practices do.
Well youngest son had two major heart attacks at the age off 44, including flights in an air ambulance, surgery ( triple bypass) etc the total cost was zero. My cancer treatment also cost me nothing all done by the Australian public Health system. We also have a national disability scheme.
