so in the spring, I'm teaching a class on romance novels aimed at the intro to lit audience. has anyone on bluesky taught such a thing? if so, can I pick your brain?
I haven’t but I very much enjoy the Hot and Bothered podcast which is very informative. Especially their episodes on Pride and Prejudice
I see you've already been linked to a lot of the IASPR/JPRS resources, but also happy to help if you need!
I feel like @stegan.bsky.social might know some resources!
Jayashree Kamble is another great resource on this topic: @profromance.bsky.socialwww.laguardia.edu/news/dr-jaya...

Julie Moody-Freeman teaches an undergrad course focusing on romance, race and gender. I would reach out to her. I’m biased (we work together), but all sorts of people, students especially really like her essay for the Black Love Matters anthology about teaching romance and her Black Romance Podcast.
I’ve taught romance novels in my intro to lit classes for a while! Usually one or two in a class with poetry and drama, so not quite the same thing, but happy to tell all. :)
(I taught a 300/400 romance novel course a decade ago as a grad student, but the genre is radically different now and this would be such a different student population, I'm going to scrap everything and start over.)
You're going to be Eva in Fake Flame!
Maria de Blassie teaches undergrad classes on romance novels. She's not on bsky, but here's her website mariadeblassie.com
