Fell down the Eltingville rabbit hole this weekend, I saw the pilot on Adult Swim way back when but never followed through on the comics, and as someone who has really grown to despise geek and fandom culture over the last few years it was a ride. This page in particular hit hard

I remember one of them bought a Super Famicom import that they can't read or understand but "hey it's got a good boxart!".

After a couple of years it really dawned on me how miserable a lot of my experiences in fandom and geek spaces were. Associating with people out of a desperate want to belong to where you basically take abuse to feel part of something. It’s amazing how precise it all is here

I’ve not read all of them but Eltingville is a wild ride. The final issue is so painful/fantastic!
