The only way this would have been better is if we could have just given Podz directly to them instead of Edmonton.
If you promise more services, how much more tax are we (or our kids) paying? If you promise less tax how many services are we losing? And don't say that they will cut waste. Governments have been cutting for decades. There are only services and infrastructure left to cut.
If any political party tells you that they will solve our problems we must demand that they explain how. Solutions are hard and they must be honest about what the cost of their solutions are so we can choose wisely.
If anyone tells you that they have a simple solution to the complex and nuanced problems in the world, they are either lying to you, don't understand the problem, or are the smartest person in the world. And if they are that smart, that isn't common sense, is it?

I don't want common sense driving policy. I want extraordinary sense in my leaders and representatives. If your plan of attack is just to do what any rando on the street would do, why would we need you?
I don't advocate for or against any Canadian federal or provincial political party, and I urge everyone to demand better from all of them, but I'm being bombarded by commercials touting "common sense" policies mostly from one side.
