Public submissions are now being invited on this Bill
John Harts's submission ideas: threadreaderapp.com/thread/17938... There are a bunch of ideas from people under Jane's reply below as well.
"The degree to which claims & actions of this combined coalition government goes against or utterly ignores the expert & official advice, evidence & reason is many times so much worse- on a logarithmic scale. By no means is it a rational response but the panicked thrashing of a drowning man. "
If you have ever had the misfortune of having to rescue someone who is thrashing around in a panic from drowning, you would know how easy it is for the panicked to take you under with them. The combined National, ACT & NZFirst coalition government is insistent on taking the rest Aotearoa with them.
Analysis - Power is not being abused, but it is not being well managed either. New Zealand democracy, unique and currently brittle, should be handled with greater care, Alexander Gillespie writes.
Done. Probably badly worded, but I wanted to get it in before I forgot about it.
It's good the weather is shit and I have no plans for the weekend. Thank you for pointing this out. I've never felt an urgent need to make submissions as much as I feel with this govt. Might need a good dose of ☕️
Done. Added my two cents but every submission counts.
Thanks for the reminder. I’ve done a quick submission adding my small voice. If we don’t fight this crap they will take more audacious actions a la Trump
I want to but don't have the detail to make a meaningful submission!
