i think modern controls/combat is enough of a reason. i can have fun with the clunkiness of the originals but i think ppl like to think some of SH's dated game design is intentional when it really wasn't

i understand this pov but i would argue that the limited control scheme is an important part of the disempowerment you feel while playing, intentional or not. i don’t think making the controls smoother is necessarily additive in the grand scheme
