Christian Zionism is honestly deeply weird in that it really seems to be based around a reading of Revelations that focuses on all the exact wrong things to a degree where all the things they are focusing on should convince them they have this wrong...but they go full steam the other way instead

Like...maybe Israel is central because Revelations was written for Jews and it was assumed those being saved would be running Israel andstuff would go down there...not that god needed a people he hated to rule a country so he could save his bros ...also it's all a coded metaohor anyawys but whatevs
