I understand your point. Columnists are entitled to their own opinions and publish opposite opinions sometimes & also from external sources. It's just that with the Guardian, it's been a trend for the last couple of years regarding the way they approach the ruzzian aggression toward Ukraine.

I have no basis to speak to that. I do read news articles in the Guardian from time to time, but don't recall reading any opinion articles, let alone enough to discern any trends. My gripe was with treating the publication of a guest opinion piece alone as indicating the paper's views.
