I only tried it because I bought two Moonman vanishing point pens and they both came with fine nibs... And I was hooked. I was going to get rid of my Lamy until I picked up the fine nib and found that it could write that nicely too.

Agree to disagree... My Safari with Med nib was nice to write with, but put too wide a line down on the page for my liking. When I bought the Fine nib for it, I lost none of the writing enjoyment, but gained a lot of neatness and precision in my lines. I will not go back.
