One block from my house is a busy intersection with a gas station, shopping plaza and restaurants. If I go another block or so I end up here. A hidden gem

SCOTUS won't stay the execution of Marcellus Williams. The three liberals dissent.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2024 CERTIORARI DENIED PROSECUTING ATT'Y EX REL. MARCELLUS WILLIAMS V. MISSOURI The application for stay of execution of sentence of death presented to Justice Kavanaugh and by him referred to the Court is denied. The petition for a writ of certiorari is denied. Justice Sotomayor, Justice Kagan, and Justice Jackson would grant the application for stay of execution of sentence of death.

As a reminder of what a travesty this is, the people most closely involved don't actually want the state to carry out this execution: the victim's family, the members of the jury, the PROSECUTOR. There is no reliable evidence that Mr. Williams committed the crime.

MO Supreme Court denied Marcellus Williams’ request to halt his execution. Governor Parson has also declined to intervene. As of right now, the State of Missouri plans to murder an innocent man at 6pm tomorrow, Sept. 24th. It’s a textbook case for eliminating the death penalty. This is just so sad.
