they are! they're just slightly crunchy on the outside and have a cake-like consistency on the inside, haha

i was going to rewatch all the movies after seeing romulus a few days ago, but i have to do it via streaming for a movie i actually own, because the CC track is so egregiously bad on all of the blu-ray versions of alien (the dialog audio mixing has never been fantastic either) 😭😭 why

i've been running an air purifier in here basically non-stop to try and remove some of the nastiness, too, for his benefit and mine since i'm allergic to dust, the one thing not on this list lol

cats are pretty amazing, it's true! as much as i would love a bearded dragon, cresties are more manageable for me at the moment (and it doesn't hurt that they're so cute, haha)
