I’ve found that enthusiasm can trump skill. I have a famously terrible voice but when I put my whole ass into kiss from a rose I get a better response from the crowd than much more talented friends who play it safe

My friends are both talented and enthusiastic. The stage presence on top of being good at singing is just unfair
