Normally if you have a lawyer do the paperwork they keep the original in their secure storage. Then someone just has to know who your attorney is. My dad *was* an attorney, pulled his papers out of his office after he retired for Reasons, and didn’t tell us who the new guy was.

Yeah…I know of an attorney who was in the early stages of dementia and no one knew and one day went into his office and shredded all the wills. Multiple copies/originals with different people is probably the best way to go, tbh
