Yes, contract workers are free to make their own schedules and juggle their time however they like. In return they receive: absolutely no job security. If somebody is getting the job done for you, that's all you need to know. Asshat.

Gwendoline Christie, a tall, pale white woman with short honey blonde hair, her mouth accentuated with crimson lipstick. She is absolutely devastating in a flowing blue dress with a red belt that falls in such a way that it pools on the floor like a train and gives us a glimpse of one toned ivory calf. She is holding a champagne flute in one hand and squeezing the face of Oscar Isaacs in the other, pushing his head backward so that his wavy dark hair falls away from his face which looks as if he is experiencing bliss heretofore unknown to humans. the look on Gwendoline’s face is one of sternness, as if she is telling Oscar he has been bad and will need to work very very hard to make it up to her.

PayPal is updating their ToS to let themselves give your data to merchants starting in November and they're certainly banking on people not knowing to opt out, SO to opt out before they start: go to Settings > Data & Privacy > Manage shared info > Personalized shopping, and toggle that shit off

Screenshot of PayPal's Terms of Service update, outlining their "personalized shopping" feature where they allow themselves the right to give info about you to other companies

East River looking pretty good these days due to the efforts of the Billion Oyster Project and some good local legislation.

I really don't think that's what they said, but I accept your opinion and think I've presented my view of the situation adequately, so in the interest of not fomenting discussion that's not useful, I'll bow out.

*per day, which are almost certainly scammers

I think the assumption here might be that the user in question is reporting every account they come across, which is probably an uncharitable read. It's more like "reporting the dozen accounts who follow/DM/reply spam"

A single person can't independently verify 10+ accounts a day (approximately the rate I get as a tiny, cautious user whenever a botnet gets a hold of me.) and reporting an account doesn't automatically get them tagged, bagged, and sent to the washing machine dimension: it starts a process.

It's unfortunate but true: Gaza mutual aid is a huge huge target for scammers right now. I would say a solid 90% of the accounts I encounter are not legit. It's not unreasonable to ask professionals to sort them out.
