Doctor Who is great because in the Sixties it did a WWI story where the Allies and Central Powers are both under the authority of a time-traveling criminal who’s in league with military leaders across history and it’s basically closer to real history than any WWI movie that’s come since.
Legit my favorite Doctor Who story.
