TBH the two things we needed more of in media were: a) listen to indigenous folks. Not in a "soundbite" fashion but a literal, policy making way. b) call out the politicians every step they support the obliteration of our ecosystem because some corporate extractionist needed profits.

A major step in stopping endless environmental damage is directly tied to human rights. When marginalized communities can't have their living areas turned into pollution dumps, workers can't be exposed to dangerous chemicals? You get drastically reduced and controlled pollution compared to without.
