I need to do the grind sometime so I can get the cards but uuuugh it’s so not my style of play. Really nods back to old school RPGs with the grind. I had a group for a bit so it wasn’ solo but we fell apart.

And last one, Kathy Rain: A Detective is Born, also point and click, the Director's Cut makes the plot a little more coherent, but another good mystery-that-turns-otherworldly.

Oh, also from the point and click genre, the 5 Blackwell games (Blackwell Legacy, Unbound, Convergence, Deception, Epiphany) are not bad for like... older indie games with voice acting. Spirit medium/ghost story that takes a bit to find its feet but avoids the worst tropes.

Every cycle of moves has been like that, a few more people move but a lot end up staying. If you're gonna move, yeah you gotta just go ahead and do it even if it means not engaging with some people you'd like to

Audiobooks/podcast: Welcome to Nightvale (50s style radio broadcast set in a town where something always goes wrong) Books (1/2): Night Film (occult, neonoir, mystery) The Institute (page-turner Stephen King in a departure from his usual verbose style)

Asked my sister for some recs: Visual Novels: Paranormasight (long play time, very good story) Death Mark Games: Voodoo Detective (morbid humor click and point) The Mortuary Assistant (part mortician tutorial, part psychological horror and puzzle)

Uhh off the top of my head Something Wicked This Way Comes is a favorite read of mine for horror Games? Weird take might be Detention. I like The Last Door (it's pixely but episodic and does the Lovecraft-esque style right). Sounded like you wanted recs that aren't movies so I'll skip those.

Not sure what kinds of horror you prefer / avoid, that's a pretty broad request

That really sucks Ace. If it was me being misgendered, I don't know if I'd rather hear that or be blissfully oblivious :/
