I still don't know how to split my energy between here and Twitter ๐ I am very much just talking to myself here (which it's pretty much all I do there, let's be honest) I just dunno... It doesn't feel like a place to actually hang out yet ๐ฎโ๐จ
I assume this is how the original little mermaid felt before dissolving into seafoam ๐ซ
I'd do it all over again ๐ซถ
This; this is one thing that radicalized me. Aaaalllll the money that goes from us into research... Saying, "the government," should be credited with it has been absolutely maddening to me for years. WE provide not only the resources but bear the brunt of the weight of changing information too! ๐ ๐
Hostile reminder that a great deal of the medicine you pay money for was funded by taxpayer dollars and we should all be livid about this
This entire post based on a subtweet I was lurker reading over on Twitter and got teary-eyed about ๐ Seeing people talk in real time about how disability justice changed their perspective even though they aren't disabled themselves... My heart as they start waking up, y'all ๐ฅบ๐ซถ
Oh my sweet, nonexistent gods are we actually watching the framework go into place at the base level for a more care-minded and service-driven and compassion-elevating society? Because I'd fuckin love to wake up in 50 years filled with hope for the newest generation and know we did right by them ๐
Until we shift society AWAY from being the breeding grounds of competition and runaway consumption and TOWARD a structure of support as it should always have been, we're going to do a bad job. We're going to let people down. Not only present people, but future people. They deserve better than us.
Just thinking about how early anti-war protest post-9/11 were covered in the press... Look at this headline, lol. Come on. www.nytimes.com/2001/10/01/u...
Mantra for the supermarket: This isn't good. This isn't right. This isn't normal.
