Instead of sitting & scrolling on my phone last night, I did a little painting of the beach in Kauai, HI. Done with a set of Turner Poster Color on water color paper. Ripped the paper slightly as I pulled the tape off, so I’ll have to wait until I’m home from vacation to edit & post to Insta!

I’ve found that I’m really impatient when I try to sit and paint on location (maybe a different skill that I need to build), so I’m trying to embrace the idea of working from my own photos when I have a full desk (or in this case, side table at my hotel) to sit and work at!
