"Exhaustive" "thorough" -- these are not words that make me want to read a book. They make me tired. Why do reviewers love to use them as compliments? Are the rest of you craving an exhaustive read?

It depends on what it is. I just finished Michael Lewis’ book on Sam Bankman Fried and I wish it was indeed more exhaustive in its sources and thorough in its research than just Lewis telling a nice story well 🤷🏼‍♀️
