#copyediting Sixty times out of one hundred when you type breath you meant breathe. Ninety-seven times out of one hundred when you type parent's you meant parents'. Maybe ninety-eight.
My rule like this is that effect is almost always a noun and affect is almost always a verb (except in certain professions, and you know if you’re in one).
Mmm hmm. Also, I am constantly correcting “loose” to “lose.”
I shall have to ask my parent's parents...but that would require a seance. I suppose I could ask the other parent's parents...no wait...another seance. Could someone fetch the ouija board and planchette please?
Just google discrete and discreet every time you might need to use it.
Still annoyed that it's noun breath and verb breathe, but somehow adjective smooth gets verb smooth rather than smoothe. Also, the distinct vowel sounds and "th" sounds for breath and breathe seem wildly unnecessary for a sensible language.
