My evening ended with a black cat, a rabbit, a mink, some chasing (all safe), two adult Bald Eagles, a Kingfisher, a Great Blue Heron, the calling of a Great Horned Owl, and a small bird bathing in a quiet pool of the creek - all within 30 minutes. #TheGoodLife#nature#wildlife#photography#birds

A photo taken this morning shows a Savannah Sparrow perched among a bushy plant that has green stems but has otherwise browned and gone to seed. The brown bird with black streaks has a white chest and belly with brown streaks, a short pink beak, and a small yellow patch in front of its sunlit black eye stands in profile facing right. The background is a mottled mix of greens.
