seeing the number of Jewish people defiantly calling for an end to the genocide yet being summarily ignored—or punished for speaking up—makes it clear that governments treat Jews as having moral weight only insofar as they serve as a casus belli for atrocities, and as adversaries in all other cases

if governments will kill for you but not stop the killing for you, it isn't about you at all: it's about their love of killing

When you have government by selective exploitation the only messages that will be approved are those supporting the government biases. It's also important to frame issues as political rather than humanitarian because governments can't afford to have people empathising.
