I confess that I have read neither book (yet) but I am tempted to send Dr Burnett’s book to my bishop, who used his presidential address at our last diocesan synod meeting to talk at length about Haidt’s and that did not impress me.

And once again, yes this *is* me trying to push back against the tsunami of bilge caused by Haidt's The Anxious Generation, to which the strongest rebuttal I've received so far is "No, YOU'RE wrong!" Which is, you know, less than 100% rigorous

Argh. Not a terrible idea to be honest. Maintenance Phase recently did a good episode on it.
