Good thing for today…lazy day with the family, fresh sheets, and the smell of rain coming through the windows. Not every day has to be an adventure to be worthy.

Finished my socks. Simple pattern so it took a lot of moral support from my feline assistant to get through the second one. She’s resting up. 🧶

Good thing…the magic of coffee shops has worked once again. Kid likes working there, and for the low low price of three coffees (me), two hot chocolates (him) and a cinnamon roll (also him) we have a complete rough draft of his essay with comments and edits suggested for second draft.

Good things….love the changing weather. Fall feels like you can both keep the windows open and wrap up in your favorite blanket. Hot drinks and cold drinks are both perfect. Sunshine is bright and soul cleansing and not punishing. The colors are an ever evolving wonder.

I don’t know if I have a good thing today…but I have a meal plan for the week and a Suburu full of groceries. And work was sufficiently under control that I could I could get my nails done over lunch. Still short and stubby; but now short and stubby and burgundy!

It’s been crazy, so I’ve slacked on my positive thing a day. But since this is mostly for my mental health, I’m getting back in the horse. Good thing today, I’be cracked the code on peanut sauce….I think this one will be perfect with air fried tofu, a quick pork/carrot larb, and lettuce for wraps.

I know it’s not Caturday yet….but Portabella looks like she’s ready for the weekend. Life as the home-office cat in charge of morale is rough!

I’ve had many disappointments in my life, but one of the greatest was discovering that because my kid’s brain isn’t typical….I am forced into opposition with a shocking number of his teachers. I was an educator. I was a huge advocate for teachers. I hate that it’s now not always true. Hate it.

I’m in a dark and dreary place emotionally, but to acknowledge the good in the world…I finally went in for new glasses I desperately needed and actually met someone who was a genuine help with all of the decision. I may actually soon own glasses that suit me. Miracles and wonders!

Everyone says to just be yourself and your people will find you. Today, I feel like I must have been moving so often that they’re having trouble keeping up. But I wouldn’t hate it if they hustled up a bit. I’ve got the being myself part down, and I’d love to meet them.
