I think dulse is a generational thing. None of my kids or grandkids go near it, yet, sculry-house reared me its “boom” on the palate. Nobody went to the fishmonger or fruit ‘n veg shop without returning with a “beg of dulse” in our house growing up.
it’s well marketed poison and a cursed generational inheritance.
I think I’m increasingly seeking “silence” as life’s journey steams ahead and in that I’m finding social media a distraction, oft an intrusion, and so my on/off passion / derision to its contribution. This site is good and yep I hope it becomes less “clunky”.
post army I worked supply chain in the natural stone industry. From the quarry floor to the factories that built the extraction kit. Big part of that was dimensional stone for use as hard landscape in Public Realm. From Cork to Derry, Belfast to Liverpool to Glasgow to London, did ‘em all in my day.
I get that. I think with me it a combo of age, being now retired & through the “itch” that I must do something: I know I don’t Social media is great for immediate news, a laugh & a minority of feeds are uber positive but I’m on about that need (I once had) to feel validated on SM Time will tell.
