Deferring to a single specific Black person in whatever setting your in is tokenization (with some caveats). You trot out the one Black person you know during your conference that's tokenization and is STILL anti-Blackness. The problem is YOU not taking it seriously.
The key phrase being "deference to expertise". It isn't "deference on all things by default". Non-Black people have ZERO valid opinions on anti-Blackness just as I have ZERO valid opinions on antisemitism as a gentile. This isn't difficult.
