Biologist. Trans woman. Pretty private person on here. Mostly I just lurk, but a bunch of profiles I like to follow said they would start blocking people if there wasn't a bio and a pic, and I didn't want to be blocked. :(

Nope, but that sounds like it has potential, haha! I just loved that I stumbled upon a picture of Belle as a Biologist! Girl's sitting here like "Okay, but how do I change him back into the Beast, though?..."

also vote no on prop 36, we’ve seen California try to dissuade crime through harsher sentencing before and it never fucking works and it makes people’s lives miserable and it costs the state tons of money

nobody ever objects to mapping "man" and "woman" transparently across cultures, this sort of distinction is just for the trannies

One of my least favorite things about certain sections of “left-coded” academia is the use of vaguely internationalist and anti-colonialist nomenclature in service of erecting strict unshakable walls between the various peoples of the world.

The purchase of twitter is one of the most significant personal expenditures in history, and its evident purpose was to turn the site into a friendlier nest for anti-trans voices, antisemites, white supremacists, and out-and-out nazis and a more hostile place for progressives and liberals.

I was going to say this! And add that I love the Hubris of the folks that name themselves after famously petty gods, lmao.

Southern states also generally don’t have initiative, so there’s no legal way for the voters to take control back this map is actually generous btw, MS’s supreme court has ruled that the amendment power can’t actually be used, so it should be greyed out

map of states with citizen-initiated ballot measures. in the South, only Arkansas allows for amendments and statutes; Florida and Mississippi allow for amendments
