I've read of the Holmes stuff, but not enough of others to know if I'd like them more. But I'll say this, based on the two Benoit Blanc movies out there, if this keeps up, I'll like him better than Holmes.

OP mentioned Batman. And I like Batman a lot, especially as a detective. But is he my favorite detective? Hmmmm, I don't think so. For detective work in the DCU, I like Tim better. He's more of a detective than Batman is and I like that. But Tim is also not my favorite detective.
