I still don't know why the Brits always go on about their how good kebabs are yet this fucking dish still hasn't been reinvented on this stupid island.

Another favourite of mine is when they take a Lahmacun and put doner meat, melted cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and garlic sauce on it... then wrap it up like a burrito. I lived on that as a uni student lmfao.

The closest I can think of is the Scottish Hoagie roll [Doner, chips and kebab]. Although I think the lack of green is a deliberate choice with the beloved abomination.

Place that was near us when we lived in Germany had a 'doner box' on the menu, which was basically this concept but in a container shaped more like the ones Chinese takeouts often use so you could carry it in one hand and stab the fork into it with the other while walking lol Loved those things. 🤤
