the short answer: maybe! they will have a billing department who will almost certainly attempt to start you on a payment plan. however, if you make it VERY clear that you simply can't pay the full amount, then they're incentivized to settle, because if they send it to collections, they make pennies
writing my masters thesis on American healthcare and a good tip: any nonprofit hospital (most in the US are) has to provide at least some payment relief to patients who make under 4x the poverty limit, which works out to about $58,000 per year. definitely worth asking the billing department!
