My take is even if the movie is hot trash, if you finished it thinking you did a good job, good for you.
Games are very much the same. I’ve worked on projects that hit those same notes, and played tons of games that didn’t reach their mark for a variety of reasons, but never thought to discredit my own or other teams for the outcome.
