haven't looked too much but its arguable that verlander is both the best (to the astros) and worst (to the mets) signing in recent years

Both verlander and harper's contracts are about $6m for 1 WAR (regular season) and the astros are already out of their contract whereas the phillies are locked in til his age 38 season (which could be a pro or a con depending on your perspective!)
