Oh she has a cat bed right behind the monitor and she loves it. Sitting on the mouse pad is just her newest hobby.
My cat used to sit on my mouse pad. I got a new one with wrist support and put the old one next to it so she could still sit on the old one. She now sits on my new mouse pad, using the wrist support (or the mouse, or my hand) as a pillow.
