You had posted an article awhile back about the cost of climate change v. the prevention, the problem is that the cost of climate change is picked up by taxpayers so politicians don't care, since they profit off of destroying the planet.

I may be wrong but I recall Alberta cutting firewatch from the budget/programs. The literal first line of defense, and it's chucked to the side. This was caused by human negligence.
