but then you get the people who probably weren't REALLY gifted children but were just quick enough that people thought they were gifted so the expectations get set crazy high for the rest of your life... or so I've heard haha.

I try to imagine that having high standards for yourself just means you have good taste. I think as artists this is the deal, we will never get rid of perfectionism and that's ok. it's always wild tho, to see artists I've painted my face (with cum) to who don't know they rock.
