Genuinely shaken by the Geert Wilders (apparent) win in NL. I’ve been teaching about him for years, using him as a case study on the rise of Islamophobia in 21st century Europe, and it really is fascism plain and simple - couched, ingeniously, in the language of Dutch tolerance.

While I agree that it is fascism, in my case it's "just an opinion". Are there any solid references that show where it is (and isn't) fascism? I'd love to put this forward in discussions that descend into "yea, but I think it is. No, I think it's not!".

Het voordeel van dat de PVV maar één lid heeft, is dat je daardoor makkelijk kunt zeggen dat álle PVVers fascisten zijn.
