The first match where I actually like both albums. YHCYWLAP feels like a tailing off of B&S's first era and it's good enough in that context. On the other hand, Dogs is a genuinely amazing debut and surprised it was seeded so low.
I hate it so much that this match is happening because Nina ended up ridiculously underseeded.
What a good day to listen to Nina Nastasia. It's kinda dreary out and I'm le tired.
The B&S album was their first that disappointed me. A few tracks have grown on me since, but I’m pretty sure it’s still their worst—dreary and bloated. Never heard Nina, but I enjoy her voice and there are some really interesting things happening musically. I’m giving her the vote

Until this contest, I was completely unaware of Nina Natasia. Listening to DOGS and it is really hitting, really good. Happy to have found it. The Best Album of . . . . is true joy.
Four solid 11/10 songs on the B&S album: WAR, MODEL, LIGHT and SULK. Particularly strong BEANS GEDDES contributions. Lovely production lay out Ng the groundwork for subsequent records and continued development. First SARAH MARTIN song? In short, this is a GREAT RECORD.
Many members of the B&S online geodesic dome had advance copies (not me -boo!) but all kept their traps shut until official release. Many were a bit disappointed. I think it has some corkers, e g. homoerotic WAR. Performed in full live on the BOATY WEEKENDER. Any tapes? I like Nina N too.
This is not my favorite Belle & Sebastian album. It almost broke them up, and indeed two founders left. It has my least favorite B&S song in the whole catalog. But! It is still Belle & Sebastian, the last gasp of their peak years. And it has Too Much Love and The Model. So of course it has my vote.
