J5's body of work is small and mostly unimpressive, but Quality Control is one of the best rap albums of 2000-2009, which is saying something

I assumed Jurassic 5 was a techno band.* This is my first time hearing them. *I got most of my non-radio interests from bfs, and they usually listened to grunge/college rock artists and occasionally techno and prog. Very white. One had a burned copy of this, so I figured it was techno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I will say this about Erin McKeon - her name suggests she should be swimming for Australia. I'll tell you something about Australia - Jurassic 5 is our catnip. This, arrested development, the first 2 black eyed peas albums, ugly duckling... In this race, our Erin was always going to come second
