Kind of felt this way when VHS games were the short-lived rage. Neat idea for interactivity to lil cow me, but... Tapes wear out, break, or get degraded by EMF exposure. Or find NY vs PITT in the 7th, instead And now it's good luck finding a used deck in good working order that won't eat the tape.

The sudden explosion of big & small youtubers posting videos about the game "Liar's Bar" feels off, like its not organic discovery with typical copycatting. The sheer number of videos appearing almost feels forced around creating manufactured hype, as if the dev's are handing out keys like candy.
