I asked this, and my new followers explained to me that when you sign up for an account you can answer some questions about your interests and Blue Sky sets you up with +/- 20 accounts to follow. So within 30 seconds of signing up this is how your profile looks. It alarmed me, until I understood it.

Good grief, is this why some crypto-alt-right marble-bust-for-a-profile-pic rando started following me? This UX feature sounds like it could go wrong in so many ways. Bluesky is not ready for the surge of new accounts.

I don't remember an option to answer questions about interests. Can anyone tell me how to find that?
