It's like freaking out at an impending crash and putting your foot on the accelerator in an instinctive split second (more war, more distortion of the information stream, more speed, more material and energy demands, bigger inequity, more domination of nature).

This path is, I think, the least lonely. There are job descriptions, funding opportunities, institutions, and whole political parties to find a home in. A lot of doing.
