Never mind climate *change*, they haven’t adjusted them to account for the fact that the decade we used to set “normal” rainfall in the west was basically the wettest one in measurable history

Just the concept that an individual (or family) has more rights to water than others is something that is insanely wrong. Adding more nuance like this only underlines the fact that these people should've lost their rights decades ago.
