It's meant as a Bandcamp exclusive for this coming Bandcamp Friday (10/4), but I'm posting it a few days early. I'm too happy about it not to share. I hope you enjoy! https://kidlightbulbs.bandcamp.com/album/solo-piano-vol-2
6 track album
I am excited to share the second volume of SOLO PIANO. It's another 6-song set of piano music â including a deconstruction of my songs "trendsetters" and "curiosity" and 4 other new pieces. If you like meditative piano to relax or work to, this is probably for you.
Kid Lightbulbs doesnât seem to play nice with the algorithms. I donât really stick to a genre; I sometimes bounce around them within the same song. Itâs vaguely rock music, sometimes poppy, often weird, a little abrasive, sometimes catchy, rarely mindless. Iâm trying the âcult followingâ route.
Today I released my l latest piano piece "end with a new beginning" to streaming. There's some backstory to this one which is somewhat formative in my music career. Check it out: https://artists.landr.com/055855590435
Deepen our connection on a raw human level. Heighten the emotion within my story of growing self-awareness to help you process yours. Maybe youâll pay a little for that experience; I guess thatâs the bet.
I donât care how you listen to my music. My goal is not to change your app preferences. I donât worry too much about the algorithm. My goal is not virality. My goal is to captivate a few of you, to hold your interest beyond a single song. To listen again. To dig deeper. (1/2)
So much so that I continue to pour my vulnerable soul into my music, push boundaries on genre and format, sweat the details over years, and call it art. If an arbitrary threshold on an exploitive platform is how you decide who to take seriously, we're not even playing the same sport here.
I'd like to let the record show that I take my consistent and slowly-growing ~150 monthly Spotify listeners and the few dozen folks who paid real money for my music *extremely* seriously.
Piano music streaming release #3 drops tomorrow: âinto the bayâ This one is a solo piano ditty pulling elements from my songs âlashing out!!!!!!â and âthe worst days of our livesâ, sort of linking the two albums their own in a way. Itâs serene, perfect for slowly entering a calm body of water đ
