Elden Ring lore hot take: I see a lot of people interpret Marika as being evil, or "the villain" of the story... I see it differently. Marika and Radagon are tragic figures. Marika breaking the Elden Ring strikes me as an act of despair and rage at what the Golden Order and her Godhood had become.
The whole idea that climate change can be meaningfully address to consumers altering their personal decisions is so horribly counterproductive it's not surprising to discover it was invented, in large part, by energy companies and other pro-climate apocalypse forces.
Actually maybe I would call it terrible. I can't see myself replaying the 3DS Samus Returns except as a bit of a spite replay after knowing its tricks. The fight design in that game is so hateful it actively undermines cool shit like the way they did the grapple beam.
*grimace* is right... I wouldn't call SR terrible but like, Dread is the more successful delivery of the studio's formula. I think that says most of it.
Honestly think you nailed why I couldn't possibly remember any of the specific zones in Dread if I tried. It's not that they aren't aesthetically different but they're all just weird blobs of intestinal tunnel shoving me ever forward.
Pro ship/anti ship is such a nerd ass conflict. I am an adult who pays taxes, I will crank my hog to whatever I want I don’t need permission from legions of beefing children.
After having played it, I can safely say most people saying Baldur's Gate 3 is "overrated" or not as ambitious as it's given credit for have no idea what their talking about. The game handles a lot of messy interactions in and out of combat astoundingly well. The underlying systems are a marvel.
