One of the funniest (and saddest) things I've taken away during my aerospace degree was that CATIA, a CAD program that came out in the 80s and still looks like it, is the fucking industry standard. Don't get me wrong it does some crazy shit but it's by far the least intuitive CAD tool I've ever used

Given how long it took the banks to move from Fortran to c-based languages I'd say we have to wait another 10 years
