Almost like the only thematic things that really distinguish the "Western" from literary fiction is all the racism.

Hey now, sometimes the bad guys are Mexicans or former Union soldiers.

My "judgement" is that the Western isn't a unique genre, it's a subgenre of Historical Fiction with some colonial apologism thrown in.

I can't wait to be graded on my "enthusiasm" for No Country for Old Men. I hate this class so much.
