Granted there's about a thousand mortals for every Exalted but how each Exalted treats the rest of the world is different. You can be Superman or Homelander. It is viable to be both.

The reason why is like Exalted so much is that for however good and powerful your character is, there's always someone just as strong as you but an asshole.
