As long as you go back to a time before we had seatbelts or antilock brakes were much safer than we were! Pay no attention to the 40000 preventable deaths that are the leading cause of death for kids. We're safe!

So, we just need VMT to go to infinity so the fatality rate goes to zero. That means no fatalities, right? This is a foolproof plan!
